North Surrey Skating Club
Overview
North Surrey Skating Club in Surrey has brought skaters, families, coaches and volunteers together through a shared love of skating since 1966. Beginners of all ages can start with Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program, which teaches basic skills in a fun and active way. An inclusive program gives athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to grow and enjoy the sport. Experienced skaters who are at least 11 years old and have reached a minimum STAR 3 level can take a leadership opportunity, mentoring young beginners while developing valuable coaching skills. Coaches are NCCP certified professionals trained by Skate Canada. The club is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization.
