Alex House
Overview
Alex House runs the Youth Space in Bakerview Park in South Surrey, a free, safe, sober and inclusive place for youth and young adults. Young people from grade 7 up to age 24 are welcome. The space is open five days a week and offers food, social connections, life skills and leadership skills by youth for youth. Each month brings regular programs and special events such as games, arts and crafts, sports, karaoke, baking and cooking, workshops and out-trips. Rainbow Connections meets weekly for ages 13 to 18, and Rainbow Connections Jr. meets monthly for ages 10 to 13. Parents and little ones can join Baby & Me, a circle that meets Thursday mornings at Alex House.
