XBa Centre of Dance in Surrey offers dance classes for young people ages 8 and up, Monday through Thursday after school. Children and teens can try Contemporary, Xtreme Ballet, Pointe, Improv and Street + Hip Hop in a large studio with a specially built sprung floor. No auditions or previous experience are needed for most classes, though a strong work ethic is expected. The school treats dance as an art form rather than a sport and has not entered competitions since 2014. The season runs from September to June with breaks like the local schools, and families can book a paid trial class first.
