Royal Academy of Punjab
Overview
Royal Academy of Punjab's Surrey studio offers structured Bhangra and Giddha dance training for young people ages 5 to 20, with age-specific groups and a clear pathway from beginner to performance level. Children can also learn the dhol, the two-sided Punjabi drum, in classes for ages 6 to 15. Many students begin with no dance experience at all. Classes build strength, coordination, confidence and teamwork while connecting kids to Punjabi heritage. Qualified instructors, including a CDTA certified Bhangra instructor, lead the programs, and families can expect clear communication, regular progress and performances and showcases throughout the year. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
