R&C Academy of Art + Design in Surrey offers art programs that grow with children. Younger students explore drawing and painting, 3D and clay, mixed media, art history and reading paired with drawing to build creativity, imagination and concentration. As they move up, classes introduce sketching, line drawing, still life, colour theory, pencils, charcoal, pastels, ink and watercolours, plus manga and design principles. Older students in the pre-professional and advanced courses build stronger realistic drawing skills and explore fields such as animation, architecture and graphic design. Teens can also prepare portfolios for art school applications with guidance from experienced instructors.
