Little Friends at George Derby
Overview
Little Friends Child Care Centre (formerly named Variety Cariboo) was established in 1991. In 2025, we were excited to move our centre to a new space at George Derby Centre. This enables our program to have ongoing interactions with the seniors living in that facility. This multigenerational approach allows the children and seniors opportunities to participate in a variety of activities such as arts, crafts, songs and games. These social interactions enrich and broaden a sense of community in the children while having fun.
$10 a Day ChildCareBC
This centre takes part in the Province's $10 a Day ChildCareBC program, which caps parent fees at a flat monthly rate rather than the full cost of care.
Licensed capacity
These numbers show total licensed capacity, not current openings. This information comes from the Province's published list, last checked Aug 30, 2026. Contact the centre to ask about availability.
