Overview

Leaf Karate Club is a small, community-based Shito-ryu karate club in Burnaby, near Hastings Street and Boundary Road, and an official member of Karate BC. The club welcomes children and adults, beginner to advanced, with a family-friendly atmosphere and regular social events like BBQs. Its Ninjas class introduces children aged 4 to 5 to basic movements and manners in a fun setting, while the Juniors class for ages 6 to 12 builds discipline, fundamental technique, and physical strength through kata and kumite. The head instructor began karate in Niigata, Japan, and has trained and competed in both Japan and BC.
